Script to count number of files in folder/subfolders

Hi,

I know nothing about VB but am looking for a script that would output the total number of XML files in a folder and all subfolders created in the last 24 hours. I've just spent the last few hours googling and can find scripts that will do bits but not all I'm looking for.

Can someone help with a potted script or guidance where I can find one please?
